PalmGear - a great place to find applications for the Palm

Memoware - a fabulous resource for documents. They have a great Medical section.

AcuPalm User Group - This is a newsgroup created especially for TCM practitioners that use Palm handhelds. Exchange ideas, documents, programs and images with other Acupuncturists

ESSENTIAL PROGRAMS

Jfile - a wonderful database program with many features. (Necessary for full functionality of QiSource)

Flash! - the best flashcard program out there right now. You'll never use note cards again. (Necessary for QiSource Flashcards)

FireViewer - Super image viewer. Lots of features and support.

MEDICAL PROGRAMS

Epocrates - a FREE program of Pharmaceuticals. Great reference for clinic. It has side effects and drug interactions- Very handy.

Bdicty - Specifically a dictionary program. There is a medical dictionary available.

BEPoint - 5 element acupuncture point program. I don't use it much but it looks neat.

CHINESE PROGRAMS

CJKOS - the best Chinese operating system for the palm pilot. It allows you to enter and read chinese characters.

DragonPen - This allows you to draw characters directly on your handheld and it recognizes them.

KDIC - a dictionary program that is specifically for Asian languages

Flashzi – A great flashcard program for learning Chinese characters (there is a traditional and simplified version)

OTHER GREAT PROGRAMS

Eching - Cast the I Ching on your Palm Pilot.

Astropocket - Best western Astrology program out there. Very feature-rich.

Planetarium - Great for stargazers. It has more info about the universe than you can imagine.

Lunar - If you like the Moon, you'll love this program. It tracks the moon cycle with great graphics

Big Clock - generic, but useful clock/ timer/ alarm. I use it to time things in clinic- pulses, treatment times, etc.

Converter - This is a unit converter. You can convert grams to ounces, pints to milliliters, etc. It doesn't have Qian though.

Vindigo - A spectacular FREE program that downloads current movie times, restaurant info and store locations to your Palm. It's like having newspaper / phonebook in your pocket
