hOW TO USE qISOURCE STUDY CHARTS
QiSource Study Charts are designed to organize information in a way that makes it easier to learn. The items that have more prominent formatting (ie: Larger Font, Bold, Italics, CAPITALS, or colors) represent broad or macro information. By learning these items first, you create a frame of reference that the more detailed or micro information can fit into. These charts are also very useful as reference material for case studies, study groups and cram sessions.
COLUMNS

Grouped Point Functions – Fx shared by more than one point in a row
Point Number
Type of point – color represents element
Point functions – (these do not include the fx in column A) Italics refer to fx associated to column C & F
Point locations – these are one word descriptions. Grey boxes represent landmarks that are used for measurement
Special Point Associations – Channel crossings, 5 element order (italics) & other types of points (bold)
STUDY ORDER
Begin with
the top rows describing all of the channel & organ associations; this will
give you a good idea of what the channel does.
Next,
memorize column C & F (bold & italics). If you know the functions of the Types
of Points, then you have an idea of what that point might do.
Then study
column A, (you’ll notice that fx relate to location; column E).
That leaves column D, you already know the items in italics (C&F), so all that’s left is a few items in regular text.
